Piekary is a Silesian city with poviat status, located in southern Poland, in Upper Silesia, in the Śląskie Voivodeship, in the center of the Upper Silesian Industrial District (GOP). Piekary Śląskie is part of the Upper Silesian - Zagłębie Metropolis.
