To realize how much these are 592 meters, it's worth compiling the data. The top of the famous Eiffel Tower is about 150 meters below. Markets and town halls in Warsaw, Krakow and Wroclaw are 500 meters lower. Although there are mountain resorts in Poland located higher than Boguszów-Gorce, they do not have buildings with the market square and the town hall.
Probably there will be architecture lovers who the City Hall built in the 1830s will not be delighted with. And it was rebuilt, and the body is not very original. Maybe…
However, this Town Hall was built on the ruins of ... distilleries. It housed ... a prison. Little? A silver mine shaft 50 meters deep operated in the Market Square (!). For those who like to move their imagination, you can leave the fact how life in the market and the town hall must have looked in the interwar period, when Boguszów-Gorce was a fashionable resort, and the city's first casino in Lower Silesia operated.
The building itself is erected on a quadrangle plan. It is three-storey. Currently, the town hall is the seat of the city authorities, which operates under its current name about 1973 when the administrative decision merged the towns of Boguszów and Gorce.

Most important: The highest (592 m a.s.l.) town hall and market square in Poland. Is this reason enough to visit this place? If not, it doesn't matter. The center itself has many more interesting facts.
How it working
To listen to the history of monuments as part of the "Discover History" project, you need to follow a few simple steps. Below, we present a short, step-by-step "user manual" to provide a relatively simple way to access the mini-auditions.
You need a smartphone with a camera. The camera lens should be pointed at the information plaque located next to the monument. Below is a view of the plaque itself and its example location next to the Karol Musioł monument in Opole.
After pointing your smartphone's camera at the QR code located on the right side of the plaque, the app's welcome screen will appear, followed by a screen with the name, photo of the monument, and the "START" button.
The "START" button starts the audio recording process.
Your smartphone will prompt you with the next steps after you listen to the story or pause it. Please keep an eye on your smartphone screen!
Other available options: brief information about the monument, author of the text and recording, list of other monuments in the city included in the "Discover History" project, downloadable map of monuments, video, and social media links
