The museum was founded on the basis of the regional chamber operating since 2004. As befits a carpenters' city, most of the exhibits are associated with woodworking. One of the rooms even looks like a former carpentry workshop.
However, there is much more to see here, the history of Dobrodziń is very rich. It covers the Piast, Habsburg, Prussian, German and, of course, Polish periods. The museum has exhibits from each of these eras. There are paintings of saints, archival documents, old maps and regional costumes.
The museum stands on the charming, recently refurbished, Dobrodziń market square. The sad flagstones were removed and replaced with elegant granite ones. However, the old large flower bed has undoubtedly been replaced by the biggest market attraction - a multimedia fountain. It is worth going here especially in the evening and see how illuminated water gushes to the music of moody music.
